On March 22, 1972, the Senate approved the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which banned discrimination on the basis of sex. Andrew Lloyd Webber was born in London on March 22, 1948. Considered one of the most successful contemporary composers, he has consistently created works that garner international appeal and success.
